About CG Plumbing
CG Plumbing is a family-run plumbing and heating business based in Bishop's Stortford, founded by Charlie Gaskin in April 2020. Charlie completed his apprenticeship with Dover Plumbing and Heating, gained formal qualifications as a plumber and heating engineer at Cambridge Regional College, and worked for Nick Selves Plumbing and Heating and DYNO on behalf of British Gas before starting CG Plumbing. The business serves homeowners and businesses across Bishop's Stortford, Sawbridgeworth, the Hadhams and surrounding villages in East Hertfordshire and north-west Essex.
Services include boiler repairs, servicing and replacements for all major makes and models, general plumbing maintenance such as leak repairs, pipe work, radiator installation and tap repairs, water softener installation, power flushing to remove sludge from central heating systems, and 24/7 emergency call-outs for burst pipes, severe leaks and boiler failures. CG Plumbing also handles escape-of-water and flood claims for homeowners, landlords and restoration contractors, carrying out make-safe work, identifying the cause, stripping out damaged pipework and sanitaryware, and reinstating plumbing once drying is complete. Charlie spent years working alongside Farcroft Restoration on flood restorations across the South East.
CG Plumbing is listed on Checkatrade, Yell and Google, where it holds a 5.0 rating based on 59 verified reviews. The business is a member of the Monarch Installers Club for water softener installation and works with Gas Safe registered partners for gas appliance work.
