For the trade
Get your business listed
Listing is free. There is no membership, no lead fee and no commission, and customers ring you direct rather than going through us.
What a listing gives you
- A page with your name, phone number, website, services and the towns you cover.
- Appearances on the town pages for every area you actually work in.
- Calls direct to your phone. We take no fee and no commission. With Premium, customers can also send you enquiries, each with their job card, by email.
What it costs
Being listed costs nothing.
If your listing carries a dotted badge, it means nobody has claimed it: it was built from public sources and we have never spoken to you. Claiming it is free, and lets you correct your details and see how often the page is viewed. Claim your listing.
There is one thing you can buy: Premium, at £12 a month plus VAT. You can cancel renewal at any time and your subscription will not renew any further. It adds customers' enquiries by email, each with their job card, and your website as a clickable link, your own price list, photos of your work, your availability and a note above your enquiry form. Premium listings appear towards the top of your town's lists, town pages and service pages; when several businesses in a town have Premium, they take turns at the top. It is not Gas Safe registration, which stays the number below, checked on the register. What the badges on a listing mean.
First month half price: £6 plus VAT (£7.20 inc. VAT), then £12 a month plus VAT (£14.40 inc. VAT). You can cancel renewal at any time and your subscription will not renew any further.
How to get listed
Use the add your business form. It asks for the business name, the town you are based in, a phone number, a website if you have one, and the jobs you take on. Include your Gas Safe registration number if you hold one: it is checked against the public register and shown on your page, and it is the credential readers look for first. CIPHE, WaterSafe, TrustMark, APHC and MCS numbers are shown the same way.
Already listed and something is wrong
Use the modify listing form. Corrections are free and we do not ask for anything in exchange. A listing can be removed only by its verified owner: claim it free to verify it is yours, then remove it from your dashboard.
How we decide the order
Premium listings appear towards the top of your town's lists, town pages and service pages. When several businesses in a town have Premium, they take turns at the top. Below them, how recently the listing was checked, then how complete it is, then how close the business is to the town centre. A listing with a phone number, a website, a registration number and a full service list ranks above one with a phone number alone, and that costs nothing. Businesses added to the site recently come after the rest.
