About EcoHeat - Plumbing & Heating
EcoHeat is a plumbing and heating business based in Newtownabbey, run by Marc, the owner and heating specialist. The business installs, services and repairs gas and oil boilers, carries out power flushing to remove sludge from heating systems, replaces radiators, installs smart heating controls and hot water cylinders, and upgrades full home heating systems. It also installs air source heat pumps and hydrogen-ready boilers.
EcoHeat covers Newtownabbey, Greater Belfast and surrounding areas, serving homeowners and businesses. Marc has 17 years' experience in plumbing and heating and worked on heating projects across Australia, New Zealand and Canada before starting the business. He holds NVQ Level 2 and 3 qualifications in plumbing and heating, is Gas Safe registered and holds OFTEC oil certification.
Jobs begin with a visit to assess the property. For boiler replacements, the business removes old pipework and installs new pipe runs, fits the new boiler, bleeds and balances radiators, and explains the controls. Power flushing uses industry-grade chemicals and a powerful flushing unit with high-strength magnets to remove sludge from radiators and pipes, then adds inhibitor treatment to prevent future build-up. Radiators are replaced with modern efficient models, and smart controls allow heating to be managed from a phone. The business is fully insured and offers boiler warranties of 5 to 12 years. It is a registered Phoenix installer and can advise on government heating upgrade schemes.
