About Gilmore Plumbing Ltd
Gilmore Plumbing Ltd is an established plumbing and heating business based in Coleraine. It carries out general plumbing, central heating system installations, boiler servicing, power flushing, solar heating, oil tank installation and removal, and emergency repairs. The business also undertakes complete bathroom refurbishments, new shower installations, wet rooms, power showers and towel rail fitting.
The business covers Coleraine, Portstewart, Portrush and Ballymoney. All work is carried out by fully qualified and experienced engineers. For bathrooms, Gilmore Plumbing offers full project management from initial estimate to completion, including design and costing. Operatives clean up after themselves and remove all rubbish and packaging when the job is finished.
Boiler servicing includes a full service to the burner, boiler and oil tank, with nozzle replacement, blast tube cleaning, solenoid testing, photocell cleaning and ignition transformer testing. The burner is disassembled, the oil pump is serviced with worn drive couplings replaced, and electrode settings are checked and adjusted. On the oil tank, filters are cleaned or replaced, tank isolation is inspected, and fire valves are tested.
Power flushing removes sludge and corrosion deposits from heating systems using high-velocity water and cleansing agents, with corrosion inhibitors added afterwards. The business uses Fernox chemicals. Solar heating systems harness energy from the sun to provide hot water, and can supply around 50 to 70 per cent of annual domestic hot water requirements in Coleraine. Oil tanks are supplied in plastic bunded and non-bunded options, and all tanks meet OFTEC standards. The business is CIPHE registered.
