About Howe Heating Solutions Ltd
Howe Heating Solutions Ltd is a plumbing and heating business run by Joby Howe, a Gas Safe registered engineer based in Felixstowe. The business covers all of Suffolk, with most work in Felixstowe, Ipswich, Kesgrave and Woodbridge. Joby comes from a trade family: his grandfather David Shaw started Barber & Shaw, a plumbing and heating firm in Felixstowe in the early 1970s, and his dad later took it over. Joby has been involved in plumbing since childhood, completed a year of his apprenticeship with his dad, finished his training with another local Felixstowe company, and started Howe Heating in January 2025.
The business carries out boiler installations for brands including Baxi and Vaillant, boiler breakdowns and repairs, plumbing maintenance and repairs, gas safety certificates and servicing, bathroom installations, and 24-hour emergency callouts for gas leaks, loss of heating, leaking boilers and burst pipes. Servicing is offered for boilers, gas fires, air source heat pumps and unvented hot water cylinders. Bathroom work includes design help, first-fix and second-fix plumbing, and coordination with tiling trades.
Joby works with a clean van and smart uniform, arriving on time. Quotes are free and transparent, with pricing set out clearly before work starts. If unexpected issues arise during a job, the business discusses them with the customer and agrees any extra work beforehand. The business is expanding, with other qualified engineers joining the team to work to the same standards. Standard hours run from 08:00 to 18:00 daily, with 24-hour emergency callouts available.
