About KJD Heating Services
KJD Heating Services is a family-run heating business based in Colchester, covering Essex and surrounding areas. Kieran Durham, the founder and lead engineer, is Gas Safe registered and BPEC Level 3 qualified in heat pump installations. The business installs air source heat pumps, high-efficiency boilers from Worcester Bosch, Vaillant and Glow-worm, and carries out boiler servicing, repairs, power flushing, central heating work, landlord gas safety certificates and general plumbing.
Air source heat pump installations are the main focus. The business is MCS compliant and handles Boiler Upgrade Scheme applications end-to-end, with eligible households receiving a £7,500 grant deducted directly from the invoice. Each job starts with a free survey to assess the property's insulation, heat loss and radiator output. Radiator upgrades are included in the fixed-price quote if needed. Boiler installations include removal of the old boiler, a new flue if required, system flush, magnetic filter, new controls or smart thermostat, full commissioning and a Building Regulations compliance certificate. Worcester Bosch accreditation unlocks extended warranties of up to 10 years.
The business covers Colchester, Stanway, Marks Tey, Wivenhoe, Elmstead Market, West Mersea, Brightlingsea, Sudbury and surrounding areas. Kieran carries out surveys, design and installation personally with a small team. The business is fully insured and has traded since 2014.
