About Marshall's Co.
Marshall's Co is a plumbing, gas and electrical engineering business based in Stroud, serving the Cotswolds and surrounding areas. The business carries out plumbing work including bathroom installations, heating systems, tap repairs and radiator work. Gas engineering services cover boiler installations, servicing, fires and cookers. Electrical work includes rewiring, consumer unit upgrades, sockets, lighting and energy efficient installations.
The business specialises in low temperature heating systems such as underfloor and skirting heating. Work is carried out by Laurie, the owner, who has qualifications in plumbing, heating, gas and electrical engineering, or is personally overseen by him. Marshall's Co has traded for more than 10 years.
Jobs begin with a planning stage where the business understands the customer's needs and checks feasibility against UK building regulations. A design phase follows, with detailed plans and applications for building control approval if required. Before work starts, materials are procured and other tradespeople are coordinated. Installation is divided into first fix, where pipework and cables are run within walls and floors, and second fix, where taps, radiators, boilers, sockets and switches are connected and fitted. Testing follows for electrical circuits, gas pressure and water flow. At handover, Laurie explains how systems work and provides certifications. The business sends reminders for recommended services such as annual boiler checks.
Marshall's Co is Gas Safe registered and holds qualifications in BS 7671 wiring regulations, Level 3 electrical installation verification and certification, electrical installation condition reports, WRAS water regulations, Part G building regulations, and accreditation as a Glow-worm Club Energy Engineer and Vaillant Advance Engineer.
