About Mint Heating and Plumbing
Mint Heating and Plumbing is a family-run plumbing and heating business based in Sutton. It installs boilers of all types, including combination boilers and sealed systems, and carries out boiler upgrades. The business also fits radiators and towel rails, power flushes heating systems, repairs leaks on heating and plumbing systems, installs hot water cylinders, fits carbon monoxide alarms, and supplies water softeners and instant hot water taps.
The business covers Sutton, Banstead, Coulsdon, Epsom, Kingston, Surbiton, Dorking, Leatherhead, Ashtead, Purley, Croydon, Redhill, Reigate, Carshalton, Wimbledon, Wandsworth, Merton, Crawley and Horsham, and also works in South London. Power flushing involves flushing cleaning chemicals through each radiator individually and then fresh mains water until the heating water is as clean as drinking water. The system is then dosed with an inhibitor to protect it from corrosion and debris. A Magnaclean System Filter can be added for extra protection. Power flushing is recommended when installing a new boiler because it validates the warranty and helps prevent future problems. General repairs are charged at £45 per hour, with time rounded to the next hour. If further work is needed, the hourly charge is deducted from the total cost.
Mint Heating and Plumbing is Gas Safe registered and a member of the Chartered Institute of Plumbing and Heating Engineers. The business is fully insured. It recommends Vaillant or Worcester-Bosch boilers and uses a Kamco CF90 Power Flushing machine. Thermostatic radiator valves are fitted free with any new boiler installation.
