About R K Petty Plumbing & Heating
R K Petty Plumbing & Heating is a plumbing and heating business based in Addingham, serving Ilkley and West Yorkshire. The business was established in 2004 and operates with 8 plumbing and heating engineers working from 7 vans. It carries out boiler servicing and repairs, central heating installation, underfloor heating, bathroom installations, power flushing, LPG work, natural gas work and oil installations. Gas safety certificates are provided for domestic and commercial clients.
The business is Gas Safe registered (215175) and OFTEC registered for oil work. It covers West Yorkshire and works for homeowners and small commercial clients. Jobs begin with a visit to assess requirements, followed by a quote. Boiler servicing is offered, and full heating systems are installed. Power flushing with Magna cleansing is carried out on central heating systems. Oil boilers, oil tanks, LPG boilers and natural gas boilers are serviced and repaired. Underfloor heating is fitted, and complete bathroom installations are undertaken.
The business was started as a sole trader and has grown to employ apprentices who are trained through college to gain qualifications. The founder followed in the footsteps of his grandfather, Kenneth Petty, who was head of the Plumbing department at Keighley college. The business has expanded through customer recommendation and referral.
