About S.Macfarlane Plumbing & Heating
S.Macfarlane Plumbing & Heating carries out plumbing and heating work for domestic and commercial properties in Carlisle and surrounding areas including Brampton, Thursby, Wetheral and Wigton. The business handles small repairs such as leaks, full bathroom installations, boiler installations, boiler servicing and repair, cooker installation and servicing, fire installation and servicing, and central heating flushing using the Magnacleanse system.
Work includes full central heating installations and conversions, unvented hot water systems and cylinders, heating pumps, general plumbing maintenance, and landlord safety certificates starting from £50.00. Boiler servicing starts from £60.00 depending on the age and make of the boiler. Central heating flushing is offered prior to boiler installations to ensure the system is clean before a new boiler goes in. Inhibitors from Fernox, Adey and Sentinel are used, and the TF1 Omega filter from Fernox is fitted.
The business is time served with an apprenticeship from Carlisle College and holds City and Guilds qualifications. It is Gas Safe registered, holds water regulations qualifications with BPEC from 2011, and has the G3 qualification for installing and maintaining unvented hot water cylinders and systems. Public liability insurance is held for domestic and commercial work. Baxi boilers are fitted through the Baxi works scheme, which provides an extended warranty on their products. Free quotations are offered on all jobs.
