About SCAF Plumbing & Heating Limited
SCAF Plumbing & Heating Limited is a Gas Safe and OFTEC registered heating and plumbing business based in Colchester. It services, repairs and installs boilers for domestic and commercial customers across North Essex and South Suffolk, covering around 30 miles. The business works on all major brands of gas, LPG and oil boilers, and also handles leaks, burst pipes, landlord gas safety checks, heat pump servicing, unvented hot water cylinders, power flushing and underfloor heating.
Boiler servicing starts from £75 plus VAT for gas boilers, £95 plus VAT for LPG and £125 plus VAT for oil. New boilers, heat pump servicing and landlord gas safety certificates (CP12) are also offered. Every job begins with a call or online booking to describe the problem, and the business gives a callout price and arrival time. Once an engineer visits, the fault is diagnosed and a full price is confirmed before any work starts. Certificates and invoices are sent by email after completion.
The business is Gas Safe registered (916757) and OFTEC registered (501980), and holds a Grant G1 accreditation for oil heating. Engineers are qualified for LPG and oil systems. SCAF Plumbing & Heating covers rural homes off the gas grid and works for landlords, letting agents, shops, offices, restaurants and cafés. Payment is by card or bank transfer once the job is done.
