About The Boilersmith Ltd
The Boilersmith Ltd is a boiler and heating company based in Woodley, Reading. Its website describes a combined 30 years of experience fixing, servicing and installing heating systems in customers' homes, and names Simon and Peter as the engineers behind the business.
The company installs, services and repairs boilers, and also offers power flushing and smart heating controls that let customers set heating and hot water times, temperatures and rooms from a phone or tablet. It carries parts for all major manufacturers. An annual boiler service includes a carbon monoxide sweep test, flue gas combustion analysis, testing of flame failure safety devices, checks for water leaks, cleaning of the condensate trap and magnetic filters, and a test of gas consumption and inlet pressures. A service report is emailed as a PDF with the invoice.
Some manufacturers recommend a more in-depth service at five to ten year intervals, including cleaning of the combustion chamber and replacement of gaskets and seals. The Boilersmith is a Worcester accredited installer, and it offers finance on new boiler installations.
