About Chivers Plumbing & Heating Ltd
Chivers Plumbing & Heating Ltd is a plumbing and heating business based in Folkestone that has traded for 50 years. It offers domestic gas, plumbing and heating services, along with renewable energy systems. The services listed are gas safety inspections, boiler servicing and repair, boiler installation, central heating and hot water systems, power flushing, domestic plumbing works, solar hot water systems and air source heat pumps.
During a boiler service, Gas Safe engineers carry out a comprehensive checklist including visual inspection, operation and control checks, flue and combustion readings, cleaning of main boiler components, safety and operational checks, and a record of findings. The engineer checks that the boiler is working well or flags any issues found. For condensing boilers, the drainage system is also checked. Gas safety inspections assess the safety of appliances and check that ventilation passages are clear, safety devices operate efficiently, the appliance burns at correct pressure and harmful gases transfer cleanly outside. The business issues CP12 landlord certificates and stores appliance details and job records securely. Reminders for future boiler service and gas inspection due dates can be sent by email or post on request.
Chivers Plumbing & Heating covers Hythe, Saltwood, Folkestone, Ashford, Canterbury, Dover and surrounding areas.
